Classes

Are you a music educator who is preparing for a competition or an adjudication? Are you looking to give your low brass a jump-start? Do you have a new batch of beginner students and would like some help with your low brass students? Or are you affiliated with a college group and would like some advice on how to create a non-traditional career in the music field?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, I'd love to chat!

Younger Classes

One of my favorite parts about teaching is getting to work with beginners and younger students! Some things we can cover include: basic techniques, proper instrument care, breathing, and ensemble playing.

Advanced Classes

As students become more advanced in their playing, it is important to keep working to improve technique and group playing, especially within the low brass section. Some additional concepts that can be covered include chamber music, advanced techniques, the use of mutes, and advanced literature.

Collegiate Classes

Working with the most advanced students provides the most flexibility with content. My doctoral research is in the study of the alto trombone for 1st and 2nd year college students. I also present classes on low brass doubling and entrepreneurial skills for low brass musicians. Excerpt and recital prep is also frequently provided!

Recital and Concert Appearances

I am always searching for opportunities to perform solo and chamber recitals - if you are looking to fill out a program or event, please do not hesitate to reach out! Solo materials with young wind band, advanced wind band, and orchestra are readily available.
